10-20-03

The trippiest thing about this is that I was seriously trippin’ on these recordings (I wasn’t on anything), but I was coming back from a good batch of lessons, in which I taught three at the Strausberger residence (God bless ‘em) and I put on Navajo Peyote songs, Vol. IV, Indian House Records, and just became amazed at the sounds and musicianship of the whole project. I was screaming at times in the car. It’s as if I’ve been in prison for the past 12 years, without a tape deck in my vehicle, missing the essential tool in my workshop. I immediately, upon entering Glaxor haus, proclaimed my amazement at the music of Wilson Aronilth Jr. and Hanson Ashley (Navajo) to the fellas (Ox, Marty, Dboz), and began typing up the literature within said recording. This literature can be read under the “Dine's Peyote Story." Upon finishing the copy, I learned that these recordings were made on this same day, 24 years ago.
