well, i retreated back into the days of my youth for sure tonite. i went to my buddy tony ionescu's haus (notice the germanized house) and played a war game, an old avalon hill game actually. it's called "d-day," and is a reinactment on a game board of that day and the weeks that followed in 1944 that eventually led to the fall of nazi germany. i was the germans, and i got stomped! it took me back to the days when dave long, john garrison, and i used to stay up all nite playin' those silly games, like, 15-20 yrs. ago! and rocky too! axis and allies almost every weekend. damn, what big geeks we were. and, i missed woodwork's 1st appearance at la zona rosa tonite just to play this geek game. i figured, if i didn't slip back into my own history tonite, it may never happen again; and boy was it fun! boy oh boy oh boy!
